Get your boudie on!

January 31st.

I promise that you won't regret it. I promise that every single woman that I have ever photographed thinks that she should work out more, wants to wait to do this until she is skinnier, better looking or in a better place financially. I'm here to tell you that God made YOU beautiful and perfect (laced with beautiful imperfections) and gifting your husband with something like this will rock his world. I also promise that you will be surprised about how much fun you will have, how comfortable you will feel in your own skin and how you will want to do this again and again.

fall boudoir

Fall just makes me swoon. It has always been my favorite time of year. Everything about it inspires me to the depths of my soul. The cool crisp autumn air, the changing colors, the food, the clothing.....I could go on and on.

I had a creative itch to do a new kind of session. Thus, I made the very last minute decision to offer an outdoor fall boudoir special. The session will take place on private land out in the country.

Spaces are limited and this amazing fall season only lasts for a very short time. So, jump on it ladies! I think this would make the perfect Christmas gift for your hubby. It is sure to be a gift that he will always remember.

special announcement

This post has been a long time coming for me but yet it is a bittersweet one. This is big news for Imago Vita.

Ready? Here goes.

It is official, I am no longer doing any family, children or baby sessions. There, I said it. That wasn't so hard. (Please don't freak out if you already have a session booked in one of these categories. I will be finishing up those sessions that I already have on the books but will not be booking any more.)

I have been prolonging this inevitable announcement because well, I love taking photographs and I hate to turn people away. However, the time has come for me to focus only on the areas that I feel best fit who I am as an artist.

I hope that I don't need to explain to you how much I adore photographing love because if you read this little blog, I tell you all of the time. I don't think that I could survive as a photographer if I wasn't able to capture the unique love that is shared between all of the amazing couples that I photograph. It is at the core of who I am as a photographer. I LOVE capturing LOVE. It gives me hope, energy and life.

Here is a little photo of McKaila and Heston from their beautiful wedding this past Saturday.

Weddings are not my only love. I accidentally stumbled upon this deep passion for boudoir photography this year. We have been doing these very exclusive and special boudoir days about once a month. It has been nothing short of amazing. It is an absolute honor for me to capture the beauty of a woman to share with her husband. I have the rock star makeup and hair artist Loren Houk come and get the ladies all dolled up while they sip champagne and mimosas. We really get to pamper the ladies and remind them of how special and beautiful they are.

Here is a little peek at some killer shoes from our last boudoir day. When I asked my client if I could take a photo of her feet to post on the blog she replied "Sure! As long as your readers know that I am a very happily married woman!" So just FYI, these shoes and the pretty feet inside of them are taken!

So, there you have it ladies and gents! I will be making room in my business to grow the areas that I am truly passionate about. I am also intentionally making more room to enjoy my life. I will be playing with my two year old best buddy and laughing a lot with the love of my life.

Stay tuned for a special post on where you should go now if you are wanting to do a family, children or baby session.
