Wedding season is officially in full swing. We had our first wedding of the year last Saturday on Saint Patrick's Day. It was a perfect day to celebrate the marriage of a perfectly beautiful couple Brad and Andrea. The Lord was so good to them and held back the rain until after the wedding. It was a gorgeous overcast spring day.
St. John's Episcopal Church was looking her best for this beautiful occasion. I just love me a good red door.
Her gown was absolutely stunning and fit the feel of this black tie wedding.
Lucky Saint Patrick's Day wedding shoes.
Onto the preparations.
Andrea's thoughtful groom got her a beautiful pearl bracelet as a wedding gift. I love her expressions in these photos.
This girl seriously rocked her dress and was a vision to behold.
The groom was looking rather dapper himself.
In fact, all of the gents were looking their best.
The ladies were absolutely gorgeous!
Andrea and Brad decided not to do a first look. The anticipation of waiting for the doors to open to reveal the bride was palpable. I just love the joy and emotion you can see on Andrea's face as her Father and Step-Father walked her to her groom.
The Metropolitan Baptist Church Choir gave us all goose bumps with their breathtaking performance during the wedding ceremony.
Isn't Andrea's bouquet so yummy? In my humble opinion, the smell of fresh white lillies is by far one of the greatest fragrances in the world. Toni's flowers did a fantastic job on this wedding.
Time to party down on the Trolly!
What would a wedding be without the comic relief of groomsmen?
The reception was held at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame in downtown Tulsa.
The first dance. I love the way that they look at each other.
The band The Stars had everyone out on the dancefloor all night and they even had special guest appearances by non other than the bride's Step-Father (or as she calls him "Dew-Dad") our Mayor Dewey Bartlett on the harmonica and the bride's brother Dewey on the drums.
Let me just say Congratulations Brad and Andrea! Thank you so much for allowing us the honor of capturing your perfect day.
I was a bit nervous about shooting this wedding because Andrea's sister Ann is a rockstar photographer. You can see Andrea's bridal portraits taken by Ann here.
