imago vita workshop {the shoot}
Monday, September 19, 2011 at 7:47AM Well, Saturday was the big day. We pulled off our first workshop and I have to say that the day was nothing short of absolutely amazing. All thirteen attendants were dripping with talent and inspiration. It was such an honor to sit in the same room as these women and share my journey with them.
I have so many people to thank because I most certainly did not pull this thing off by myself. First, I want to thank all of the woman who came from near and far to spend the day with me. We had some ladies from Colorado, Texas, North Dakota and Atoka Oklahoma just to name a few. So many of these women trusted me because they were referred to me by my sweet friend Ashley. My lovely friend Loren opened up her beautiful home and property to all of us as well as did a rocking job on our model's hair and makeup. My second shooter Jessie was there all day assisting us all with whatever we needed. Kathie from Just a Bite did a magnificent job on the catering. Anne Marie from The French Bouquet provided us with a gorgeous bouquet. Color Inc. provided all of my attendants with discounts and a giveaway. Our lovely models Brittani and Jason spent half of their Saturday with us and looked absolutely stunning.
And I cannot forget to thank my amazing family for putting up with me all of the days leading up to this. My cup is truly running over. I am surrounded by such amazing people in my life. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
I will share more behind the scenes photos later on but I wanted to go ahead and show you my photos from the shoot portion of the day. There was a crazy thunderstorm all day long during our classroom portion and I was so worried about how we were going to pull off the shoot portion. So, we prayed. The clouds and the rain departed and the Lord gave us a perfect day.

I mean seriously, I think we hit the jackpot with our models. Can we say HOTness! Disclaimer: Brittani and Jason are not models in real life. They are really married and really drenched in love for one another. ;)

oh shannon! these are BEAUTIFUL! thank you for investing in us this weekend. i honestly can't decide if i walked away being more impressed by your amazing talent or you as a beautiful, giving, serving woman. i think it shall just be a tie. :) truly amazed by your business practices, wealth of information and willingness to share it, and your story-telling through photos. what a loving gift to gift others! thank you again, and thank you for your critique of my work, as well. i promise not to tease you about being my "mr. miyagi" too much longer! ha!
Tammy, I just cannot wait to see how your photos are going to progress as you are already an amazing photographer. I will be praying for you as you journey through this time of your husband in nursing school. If you ever need to talk to someone who truly understands, you know who to call!
Mary, I think I will just put you in my pocket and keep you around on days I am feeling bad about myself. ;) I am just honored that I lived up to your expectations as a Mr. Miyagi. Thank you so much for spending the day with us.
Congrats, my dear..
I am so proud of you Shannon. You have come so far in your journey as a young woman and photographer. God gave you a wonderful gift and you have truly accomplished so much with it. All the photos are amazing and sharing all your knowledge with others is truly what God wants us to do. Take a "bow" my talented daughter, you deserve it!
