a tribute to sweet lauren

I have had the photos ready for several days but finding the right words has been much more difficult than I thought it would be. Some of you may even know Lauren's story already but for those of who do not I would like to share a little bit of it with you.
Lauren is a brave and beautiful little three year old and her life story has taught me more than I could begin to explain. She very bravely battled heart complications during her entire life and endured three heart surgeries. The last one taking place at the end of last month and welcoming her into Heaven and into the arms of our dear Savoir. I had the honor of meeting this sweet angel when I photographed her Aunt Katie's wedding. Her whole family has touched my life in ways they will never understand. They are all full of so much love, faith and hope. Please continue to pray for them as they figure out what life here on this earth is like with their little angel in heaven. Pray especially for her big brother Adam. He misses his little sister so very much.

I had the highest honor of doing a little photo shoot as a tribute to her life. Her mommy, daddy and big brother sent a bouquet of pink balloons up into the sky for her. They each wrote little messages and tied them on the strings of the balloons. It is my prayer that these photos will be a reminder of her life of love and bravery and faith in Jesus.
My prayer for the sweet H family is that they will find comfort in the shelter of HIS wings, that they will draw from HIS strength and that HIS grace will be sufficient for them in this time and all the days yet to come. I love you all from the depths of my heart and thank you for allowing me to capture these images.

shannon, these images are absolutely beautiful. i think that bittersweet is the toughest emotion, and i am praying for this family. i am hugging my babies tighter today... love you and thank you for everything you do.
