our little camping trip
Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 7:00AM It has been quite some time since I did a personal post so, I thought I would share a little peek into my life with you all. A couple of weeks ago, after a super crazy busy few weeks Nathan and I happened to have a couple of days off in a row with no plans. It was a total spur of the moment decision but we took a quick little camping trip with just the three of us. We are going to be a family of four very soon and we really wanted to take Keegan on his first camping trip while it was still just us three.
I forgot how much stuff you need to take with you to camp, even if it is just for a day or two. This photo was taken only at the halfway point of loading things up.

Keegan was super excited.

We drove to a state park not too far away, set up our tent and unloaded all of our goodies. Keegan wanted to go explore in the "jungle." I just love being the Mom of a little boy.

Along with his first camping experience, he got his first driving lesson.

Most of the photos that I took on our trip were on my phone using Instagram. I used my camera when I had it out but I didn't want to lug it around when we went hiking or played at the little park.

Sleeping on the ground in a tent when you are 30 weeks pregnant is not advisable. I don't think I got more than 30 minutes of sleep the entire night and was in lots of pain by the time the sun came up.

It was a good thing I remembered to bring coffee and the french press.

.....and of course hot cocoa for the little man.

I know that this next photo is a little out of focus but I don't care. Like I said, I didn't sleep at all so my brain wasn't on top of my shutter speed. I will keep it and cherish it forever because it is such a representation of my boy and his daddy at this stage of life. They act like this ALL of the time.

Gosh I love him!

Before we took down the tent to head back home we put my camera on timer and set it on a log to get a family portrait. Believe it or not we got this picture on the very first try. I love it but I am kind of bummed you can't tell how pregnant I am.

2.5 seconds of driving in the car and he was out. We were all pretty pooped but the memories we made together were totally worth it!
