youth backpack fundraiser

I love that my church is involved in our community. Our youth group raised money to provide children with backpacks and school supplies that couldn't otherwise afford it. They filled over 100 backbacks with necessary supplies and had money left over to provide some families with shoes and other things that they really needed. The youth group got together on Sunday evening and had a back-packing party to load up all of the supplies into the bags.

They had a very efficient assembly line going.

My favorite part was that everyone wrote a little note inside a notebook reminding the kids that they are loved by God and that he has not forgotten them.
