olivia+derek {the wedding}
Friday, October 29, 2010 at 10:56AM How do I even begin to tell you about Olivia and Derek's wedding day? I guess I will start by telling you that I have known Olivia since I first moved here to Tulsa 4 years ago. It is pretty easy to say that she is one of the most uniquely beautiful woman that I have ever known. Her eyes will captivate you and her voice will stop you dead in your tracks.
That is exactly what happened to Derek. The first time he saw her sing his life changed forever. The way that he loves her makes her even more beautiful...he makes her eyes sparkle and gives her room to be the woman she was created to be. I didn't know Derek before he fell in love with Olivia but I am pretty sure that she brings out the best in him as well. Her love for him brings out his sweetness but also his strength.
Olivia and Derek, I could not be more happy for the two of you. I am so grateful that you invited me to capture your story so full of inspiring love and second chances. I know I told you on your wedding day, but I will say it again: I have never enjoyed photographing a wedding as much as I did yours. It is a miracle that I was able to photograph you through all of my tears. ;) I Love you guys and I pray that God would fill your home with more joy than you know what to do with.
Olivia and Derek chose to do a first look and I am so happy that they did because it gave us lots of time for creating beautiful images of the two of them together.
This next shot is probably my favorite. Taken by my lovely second shooter Jessie Dewey.
The newly wed couple snuck out front for a private moment. I had on a long lens and kept very quite to give them their space.
This next one is so filled with emotion that I tear up every time I see it.
She didn't plan on it....but of course she had to sing just one song to her love.
Just look at the way he adores her. He looks at her like this ALL of the time!

Shannon, what can I say? But every time I look at your amazing photography, it brings me right back to that day....I start feeling all giddy excited and lovingly emotional. It's a true gift and talent you have that can, every single time, bring one back to the very moment of the photograph.
