wednesday pretties
Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 9:26AM I thought I would post a couple of photos of random things that have been bringing me joy during this ridiculously cold weather.
Here is my new camera bag that I got on Etsy from Gypsy Rose Handbags. It is perfect! I needed one larger than my small one and smaller than my giant wedding gear bag. When this came in the mail I was blown away by the excellent quality. Not to mention it's stunning good looks.

I really wish that I had a fireplace. As specially when it gets this cold. I had on 4 layers yesterday including a knit hat and my finger less gloves and I was still freezing. Did I mention that I was inside? Our old house and drafty windows aren't the best at holding the heat in. Since I couldn't start a fire. I lit candles and wrote an inspiring bible verse on my chalkboard to remind me that life is short and life is good (even when it is 11 degrees outside).

I love your little chalkboard. I think I've seen it before on here and when I did it inspired me toward a whole new project at my house. My husbands thrilled :) Anyway, I haven't really started yet. Did you just use a frame and chalkboard paint? What did you paint on? The glass?
Beth, my husband gets nervous every time I start a project because he cannot visualize what I am trying to do. Over the years he trusts my ideas more and more. He actually helped me out on this project. :)I spray painted the frame with glossy white spray paint and then bought a piece of plywood for inside. I sanded the plywood to be sure it was nice and smooth and painted it with chalkboard paint. I inserted the board and secured it in back with a staple gun.
Love the new bag honey and the Bible verse. Try to keep warm, snuggle with Keegs!
Love you,
Momma
Love the new bag!! And always dig your style!! Love ya girl!
I came across your photography blog from Under the Sycamore. I am in love with your work! I wish you lived nearby me (I'm in chicago) so that I could hire you! I also am in love with the projects you have done. You have such great taste. Love the chalkboard verse...I say that verse to my daughter every night-"Teach us to number our days aright so we may gain a heart of wisdom" One of our favorites. Glad I found your blog!
