my day off {a project}
Friday, June 12, 2009 at 9:18AM During the prime of wedding season it can be very hard to take a day off because I have so much I need to get done. But, I have found that if I don't take a day off, I lose all creative juices and become a bit of a psycho. With that said, yesterday was my day off. I wanted to do something fun and creative.
I found these chairs at the little Midtown Flea Co. on 11th and Yale. They have been sitting in my garage patiently waiting for me to show them some lovin'. This is what they looked like before. My husband looked at me like I had lost my mind when I brought them home with me.

A little bit of paint and fabric and viola! I fell asleep last night with a huge smile on my face as the proud mama of two hot little numbers that look like this!
Yep, my day off was good for my soul.

Love, love, love the chairs! You've got more talent and creativity in you than I have in my little toe..How did Nathan like the chairs after you made them gorgeous?? They really do look great honey.
Love,
Your Momma
First off - good for you taking a day off! You need and deserve one. Secondly, you know I love those chairs. I want to see a picture of them in context. Do you like how I keep asking you to post more pictures of thing? As if you have all this extra time! Someday Tulsa Flea Co. is going to be open when I visit....someday.
Ashley, I wanted to take a photo of them in my dining room this morning but it was pitch black outside so, that didn't work out too well. I am in the process of redoing some frames on my dining room wall (in my spare time). So, when I finish that project I will post photos of the whole space with the chairs in context. ;) Try going to the flea co. on a Friday or Saturday.
OOOHHH Shannon! Those are fabulous! You did an awesome job. I second that see them in context comment, but then again I may just have to stop on by. Glad you took a day off girl! You certainly deserve it! =)
